Meet the Owner
Chrysi Polydoros is from the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon and a dual citizen of the United States and Greece. Her husband George, a native Texan, was the reason Chrysi moved to Houston in 1995. She brought her deep love of nature with her and embraced the Texas landscape.
Chrysi worked in the fine jewelry industry for 7 years, graduated with a BA in Radio and Television Communication from the University of Houston, and became an associate producer for Fox 26 News. When it came time to start a family, she chose to stay at home to raiser her four daughters.
Chrysi was first inspired to design jewelry for one of her daughter's softball teams. The girls on the team loved their team necklaces more than their trophies and began wearing them daily. The word spread quickly about "Chrysi's personalized jewelry", and "That's So Me!" was born.
With the fond memories of her leather sandals from Greece (eaten by her brothers' dog, Zeus) and the desire to share them with her daughters and clients, Chrysi decided to import Greek leather sandals. In 2014, Chrysi opened her first Greek sandal booth at Houston's Original Greek Festival. Soon after she became known around town as the "Greek sandal lady", a title she cherishes. Now, clients can purchase authentic, handmade Grecian leather sandals, belts, and handbags, and Grecian wool slippers and ornaments from Greece through "That's So Me!".
Chrysi's background in communication, including non-verbal communication, has made her aware that people are always communicating. Her jewelry, clothing, posture, and expressions were constanly sending a message to others, sometimes more than her words. She set out to learn how to communicate who she truly is outwardly, which colors and clothing are an exention of herself, and how to cultivate her personal style, The results was becoming a certified image consultant. Chrysi holds certification in Color Theory and Human Coloring, Personal Color Analysis, and Body Style Analysis, and offers one-on-one Custom Color Analysis and Body Style Analysis.
